After completing a personalized version of the Anillo de Picos (AP) in the Picos de Europa park in June, I wanted to share this seven-day itinerary, especially since it allows you to see almost the entire park. So if, like me, you only have a week available, this might be an interesting option! I’ll also share all my tips for this beautiful trek.
NB. The GPS tracks are the ones I recorded with my watch, except for the Bulnes section.
Since my hike on the GR-R2, I’ve had one desire: to try a hammock. My friend Camille had brought one on our excursions and I must admit it made me envious, for two reasons in particular. Firstly, being isolated from the ground; it may seem like a small detail, but when the ground is damp, dusty, sandy… I find it quickly becomes quite unpleasant to set up camp, not to mention the damaging effect on zippers.
For the second time, I’m tackling the making of a hiking backpack. This is a project that seems, to many, difficult, even insurmountable. In reality, with a minimum of patience and equipment, it’s a fairly manageable project. Now, would I recommend it to a beginner sewer? No! But if you have some basic knowledge, as I do, why not embark on this little adventure?
