Taking advantage of a three-day weekend, I set off to tackle the gorges of the Quercy and the mountains of the Cantal, for an adventure that was certainly exhausting, but rich in breathtaking landscapes.

End of a lovely weekend full of twists and turns. A short day today because I’m afraid I might be a bit tight to catch my train otherwise. I’ll take advantage of this little break once in Limoges to go have a nice cold beer.

Quite a bit of wandering today, I really messed up my route! Instead of turning north, I kept going towards Saint-Flour… Despite everything, the day ended before nightfall.

Montauban - Somewhere... | 2022-04-16

Maybe too ambitious for this first leg: impossible to reach Saint-Flour, nearly 200km from Montauban. I had definitely underestimated the elevation gain… To make up for it, a lovely little bivouac by the riverside, very pleasant!
